The 2018 Philadelphia Latino Film Festival (PHLAFF) Opening Night, co-hosted by the City of Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs, will kick off the 7th annual film festival season and the City's Immigrant Heritage Month celebration. June is Immigrant Heritage Month, a national month that uses storytelling to highlight immigrant communities. This year, the Office of Immigrant Affairs and PHLAFF will celebrate the resilience and talent in our communities and stand with Philly's immigrants.
This celebration will include the US premiere of La Perla After Maria, highlights of the 2018 LOLA Award winner "Ser Grande" and Honorable Mentions, Youth Salon, a sneak peek at Casa de Venezuela's Exodus, a Venezuelan Reality and showcase the 2018 festival offerings including our collaboration with Extension of Communication: Puerto Rico.
